In celebration of Human Rights Day, the Linden South African Police Service (SAPS) and the Linden Community Police Forum (CPF) welcomed 140 preschool children to the Linden Police Station for a morning of interactive learning and play.
The initiative aimed to equip young learners with a basic understanding of their rights and to show them how to seek help from trusted adults when needed. Through games, talks, and hands-on activities, children were introduced to important lessons about safety, community, and empowerment.
Local schools once again showed strong support, with teachers and learners participating enthusiastically. High school students also joined the event to complete community service hours, contributing to the smooth running of the day.
Organizers expressed gratitude to the sponsors and partners whose generosity made the event possible. Key supporters included Beagle Watch Armed Response, People4Purpose NPC, DearLi Design, Community Hours, Humanity First South Africa, as well as several private residents.
“This day was a true reflection of community spirit,” said organizers. “We are grateful to everyone who continues to stand behind initiatives that build awareness and resilience among our children.”
