Community Connect

Community Connect is a Linden CPF initiative aimed at helping vulnerable members of our communities and supporting the neighbours who provide that help.

Many of us know vulnerable neighbours who need help, or who may be at risk. We know many neighbours already do help out, and just need extra assistance from time to time. Some folks are ill, some are elderly, some may need help getting around, stocking up on water when supplies are low, dealing with social isolation, at risk of losing their way home, or anything in between.

We will help those in need, and those who are helping them, with an extra layer of support. A network of volunteers who can work with existing communities to make sure our vulnerable neighbours get the help they need, and coordinate extra assistance when it’s needed. Together we’ll help our community be more stronger and more resilient. Above all, we’ll do it with the caring, dignity, discretion and respect we all deserve.

Community connect projects that prioritize safety are essential for fostering a sense of togetherness and ensuring the well-being of all members. When we come together to protect one another, we strengthen the bonds of our community and create a safer, more welcoming environment for all.

At the heart of these projects are values such as mutual respect, empathy, and a willingness to lend a helping hand to those in need. By working together to safeguard the health and safety of our neighbors, we express these values and demonstrate our commitment to building a kinder, more compassionate world.

If you know someone who needs that help, please reach out to Linden CPF Community Connect, and let us know your circumstances. If you’re helping someone and need a bit of extra support, let us know that too. We’ll work together with existing street groups to keep in touch with our vulnerable neighbours and the folks who are helping them.
